First of all.....Happy Father's Day to all those father's and husband's out there. Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day!
I don't feel a though I have been around very much lately, I have been so busy trying to get ready for a party that we are having next weekend. I have been working, making things and trying to get the backyard ready. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures the following week.
However, yesterday, my son calls me and says "Mom, could you make me a graduation card, please? I need it for tonight. And could you make it a taco?" Well, of course I said yes and dropped everything. Unfortunately, I have NOTHING with a taco...none of my cartridges and none of my free digi's. So I made a quick, regular graduation card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: Two Shades of Green, White and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Graduation Cap, page 43 (Base, Base Shift and Layer 1 Base)
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps All Occasions "Congratulations!"
Green Pigment Ink
Thin Black Marker
Queen and Co Pearl, Pearl 1 Medium
Mounting Tape
He said it was perfect! (Although I know he was disappointed it wasn't a taco...oh well!)
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Banner, Buttons and/or Birthday
I am so honored that I was asked to be a Guest Diva this week at Die Cuttin' Diva's. Thank you so much. The challenge is Banner, Buttons and/or Birthdays.
Here is my card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Dark Brown, Green, Orange, Blue and Patterned
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Circus, page 66 (Base, Shift, and Layer 1 Base)
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Paper Dolls Zoo (Elephant), page 75 (Accessories 1 Base)
Cricut Cartridge Country Life Cow (Banner), page 44 and 45 (Banner Shift)
Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread
Stamp Craft Dot Alphabet Stamps "A", "B", "D", "H", "I", "P", "R", "T" and ""Y"
Brown Pigment Ink
Charcoal Chalk
Queen and Co Pearls Grass Green, 1 Large, 2 Medium and 2 Small
2 Large Blue Buttons
Mounting Tape
I tried to incorporate all three items in the challenge...the banner, the buttons and the birthday. I'm pretty happy how it turned out. I single mounted the banner, the circus wagon and the elephant. Since the elephant doesn't have any layers, I chalked it so the details would show.
Don't forget to check out the design team's projects and thank you again for allowing me to be a Guest Die Cuttin' Diva this week. Glad you stopped by...leave a comment and let me know what you think.

CardzTV with Mary Stamps Challenge # 8 "Color Me a Rainbow" Day 1 April Showers
This is the first day of the CardzTV with Mary Stamps Challenge "Color Me A Rainbow!" (Use the colors of the rainbow...pink, blue, yellow and green only...you can use a small amount of white and black also). Here is an Easel card that I made. I have only ever made a handful of them. Hope you like it.
Finished Card (when closed): 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Card stock: White (for the base), Blue, Blue Patterned, Pink and Yellow Patterned, Green and Green Patterned
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Umbrella, page 36 (Pop-Up Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Think Spring "How does your garden grow?" and "Friends are the flowers in the garden of life"
StazOn Jet Black Ink
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
Jolee's Boutique Stickers Vellum Tulips
Sugarloaf Whipsers Strokes Marker (Pink and Tan)
Mounting Tape
The base of the card is 5 1/2" x 8 1/2". I scored it in the middle at 4 1/4" and then half of that at 2 1/8". I cut the umbrella out at 6" twice (once in white and once in patterned paper). I cut off all the tabs on the patterned piece, colored the umbrella handle tan, then glued the top to the white base. It's hard to see but I added stitch lines with the tan marker to the umbrella also. I glued the blue patterned paper to a separate piece of white card stock (cut at 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). Next, I added the popped-up umbrella (the tab from the handle goes under to the back of the separate white base). I added the Glossy Accents to the blue background and the umbrella. After it was dry, I single mounted the sentiment. I glued green patterned paper to the "inside" of the base card, added the mounted sentiment and then adhered the tulips. Finally I glued a piece of blue card stock to the back of the umbrella piece and then glued it to the easel base. Now I will confess, that before I added the blue card stock to the back, I started to glue it to the easel base but realized that I only have to glue half of it to fit on there. So that's why I added the blue card stock. Mistakes? There are NO mistakes...just lessons learned!) lol
Mary at CardzTV is giving away one of her stamp sets (your choice) to the winner of the challenge. The Challenge runs April 20, 21 and 22. Check out all the other projects also.
I am entering this card into several other challenges:
CardzTV "April Showers" (Any occasion using an umbrella, rain boots, clouds, raindrops, puddles, etc)
My Cuttlebug Spot, Make an Easel Card
Made Especially for You, Use 3 Flowers
My Craft Spot "Make It Pop!" (Use dimension)
Fantabulous Cricut "April Showers" (Use an umbrella, rain or clouds)
Thanks for stopping by today. (Leave a comment). Don't forget to drop by on Sat and Sun too. I have two more cards.

Center Step Birthday Card
Pin It
At Birthday Sundaes the challenge is to make a Step Card with a Birthday Sentiment. I have never made one of these before. I checked out the tutorials they listed at Birthday Sundaes and decided to try the Center Step Card...although I did change the measurements so I would make a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card.
The inside:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Pink, Brown and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Cake, page 64 (Base, Layer 1 Base and Layer 1 Shift)
Studio G Clear Stamps "Celebrate" and "Happy Birthday"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirls
Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers, Yellow and Orange
Sprectrum Noir Markers, 2 Shades of Blue
Black Pigment Ink
Glue Dots
Mounting Tape
2 Flower Buttons, Pink
Pink Sheer Ribbon
I really like the way this turned out and I plan on making more of these types of cards. You should try one sometime.
I haven't been around on my blog lately. Haven't had much mojo since my son's accident last week. Also I've been very busy with getting my taxes completed and my granddaughter being over. I'm hoping my mojo is back...
Have a great rest of the day...thanks for stopping by.

Just My Style
This is my first project as a design team member for CardzTV. I'm so excited. Our first challenge is called "Just My Style". I actually made two cards.
Here's the first one:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Turquoise, Three Shades of Brown, Red and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Create A Critter Reindeer, page 73 (Base, Layer 1 Base, Layer 2 Base and Layer 3 Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"
Red Glitter Glue
Queen and Co Pearls Pearl 8 Small
Le Plume II Marker Brown
Mounting Tape
My second card:
and the inside:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Cream, Brown, Yellow, Orange, Pink and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Cake 2, page 64 (Base, Layer 1 Base, Layer 1 Shift and Layer 2 Base)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirls
Le Plume II Marker Pink (the candles and cake plate)
Fiskars Clear Stamps Put On Your Party Hat "Happy Birthday"
Queen and Co Pearls Orchid 3 Large and 2 Medium
Mounting Tape
Computer Sentiment (inside)
When I read the challenge, "Just My Style", I thought long and hard about it. I finally concluded that my style is simple. Generally, I like one large image accompanied by a sentiment. My lines are usually straight. I do like embossing folders too. Oh yeah, and 3-D projects. (lol) Now don't get me wrong, I use border punches and glitter too. I guess it just depends on my mood and the project.
Hope you check out all the projects over at CardzTV (and Mary is giving away a new stamp set too).
Leave a comment (I love reading them) and/or become a follower.

Hooo's Birthday Is It? Three Challenges
I thought I would submit this card to three different challenges...Cardz TV - Cricut Cardz Challenge (Owls), The Paper Variety (Forest Friends) and Birthday Sundaes (Fall colors on a Birthday Card).
Here is my card:
(so you can can see the off-center opening)
and the inside:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: Ivory, Two Shades of Green, Tan, Two Shades of Brown, Orange/Rust, Orange/Gold and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Owl, page 30 (Base, Base Shift, Layer 1 Base, Layer 1
Shift and Layer 2 Shift)
Cricut Cartridge Create-A-Critter Owl, page 25 (Accessory Base and Shift)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'vine Swirls
Fiskars Texture PlateWoodgrain
Green, Charcoal, Ivory and Brown Chalk
Computer Sentiment
Mounting Tape
I like the way this turned out. I thought the off-center opening gives the card interest.
I am also submitting this to The Craft Spot for the Design Team Call. Wish me luck!
The weather here today is really nice. Warm, in fact. Indian summer. I should try to get outside and do some work around the house. I also have some sanding inside to do. We'll see what, if anything, gets done. lol
All you mothers, grandmothers and mothers-to be, if you get a chance to see a show called "Motherhood, The Musical", you should definitely go see it. I went last night with my best friend, Trish, and it was just SO GOOD. I laughed so hard I cried. Such an excellent show. We saw it at Society Hill Playhouse in Philadelphia.
Hope you all have a great day...enjoy
Leave a comment...I would love to hear from you.
