Here at CardzTV the challenge this week is "Toasted Marshmallow" (use a marshmallow). This is Challenge  #3 for the Linky Go-to Galz. At first I thought of something with campfires and smores, but then I found a cute image and had to use it.

What do you think?

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Green
Bugaboo Digital Image Marshmallow Snowman - Snowball
CardzTV Clear Stamps with Mary Holly Jolly, " Let It Snow!"
Spectrum Noir Markers
Two Different Kinds of Glitter-White and Clear

Now if we toasted these marshmallows, we might have problem, huh? lol Thought it turned out cute.

Challenge lasts for 2 weeks and Mary will give away a set of stamps to the winner. Good Luck!

CardzTV Stamps Challenge #21 "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!"

If you are looking for the Digi Haven Challenge "Wreaths and/or Ornaments", click here. (after 5 am EST)

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!" is the theme for the CardzTV Stamp Challenge this week. Create a card, layout or craft project for Christmas with snow, snowflakes or a snowman. Challenge will run from Dec 14th to Dec 20th. Mary at CardzTV will have a set of her stamps for the winner.

This is my project:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Two Shades of Purple, Light Teal and Patterned Vellum
Cricut Cartridges Winter Woodland Snowman, page 47 (Base, Base Shift, Layers Base and Shadow/Blackout Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly, ""Let It Snow!"
Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Combo, Snowflake from Corner Punch
Black Pigment Ink
Queen and Co Pearls Lavender, 4 Medium and 6 Small
Light Blue Pom Pom
Mounting Tape

I really liked the snowflake vellum and thought the blue and purple was pretty. The snowman and  flakes are single mounted.

I'm really not a fan of (real) snow, the older I get. Too cold for me and I don't ski or snowboard.

This is the last challenge for the stamp design team for this year. (Got to get ready for the holidays!) Enjoy the challenge and maybe you will win one of Mary's stamps (your choice). Good luck.

Have a wonderful holiday! Check back for the next challenge in Jan.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment.

If you are looking for Digi Haven Challenge "Thanksgiving or Thankful/Thanks", click here (after 5 am EST).

CardzTV Stamps is having a challenge called "Scene It!". Create a project with a scene for Thanksgiving or Christmas.

Here is the front of the card:

and the inside:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Darice Embossing Folder Stripes
Botanical Pines Punch
MS Edge Punch Drippy Goo

Hope you decide to join the challenge...don't forget that Mary from CardzTV is giving away a stamp set to the winner.

CardzTV Challenge #15 "Bling It Up!"

If you are looking for the Digi Haven Challenge "Harvest", click here (after 6 am).

I haven't been around lately..."popped" my rib (I know, weird huh?), resting, vacation (sort of), re-"popping" my rib, more resting, loss of mojo (in everything), Memorial Services, etc, etc, etc. and in the spare time, I've been trying to organize the craft space. Trying to get back into crafting more, so wish me luck.

Here at CardzTV, the challenge is "Bling It Up!" Use any theme or colors, just Bling It Up!

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Green and Green Foil
Cricut Cartridge Christmas Cheer Holly, page 112 (Blackout Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps, Holly Jolly "Have a Holly Jolly Christmas!"
Sizzix Embossing Folder Snow Globe (go figure, I would have thought it was called "Holly")
Queen and Co Rhinestones, Classy Red 3 Large and 18 Small and Shamrock Green 2 Small
Green Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

Now this is a stretch for me...I sometimes like a little bling, but this is way more than I EVER use, (lol) but I like they way it turned out! What do you think?

Hope you join the challenge. Mary is giving away a set of her stamps to the winner. Challenge runs from September 21, through the 27th. Good luck!

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out the other designer's projects.

I would love to hear what you think. (Please leave a comment.)

"Let It Snow" Snowman

At Fantabulous Cricut, the challenge is called "Snow Fun" (include a snowman or snowflake on your project).

I had fun making this card:

It may be hard to see in the photo, however, the silver area is see-though.

Finished Card: 3 1/4" x 5 3/4"

Materials:
Cardstock: Gray, White, Black, Light Blue and Dark Teal
Circuit Cartridge Winter Woodland Snowman, page 46 (Base, Shift, Layers Base, Layers Shift and Card Base)
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly "Let It Snow!"
Doodlebug Design Inc Crushed Velvet Flock Black and Teal
ProArt Glitter White
Nicole Ultra Fine Premium Glitter Extra Fine Sterling
Queen and Co Pearls Nightfall 2 Small
Teal Pigment Ink
"Discarded" Snowflakes from Fiskars Border Punch Snowflake
Clear Tape
Mounting Tape

I very rarely use the "Card" layer on the cartridges, but I thought it would be fun to try it this time. First I cut out the card, the snowman and it's layers. Next I cut a second partial card image (the snowman side) and set it aside. I put clear tape on the back of the snowman card so the cutout areas had the sticky part of the tape facing up. The tape must be wide enough to cover the cutout areas so there are no creases or overlaps. I turned the card to the front and sprinkled the silver ultra fine glitter over it. It will only stick where the tape is. Flick off the excess. Now take the partial card and cut it down to just a little smaller to fit the back of the front of the card and adhere.

I hope you can see it. I glittered the snowman and flocked the hat, the bottom layer of the scarf and hatband. After the snowman and all the layers are glued together and the "eyes" are attached, I stamped the front of the card. Then, I used mounting tape to adhere the snowman to the front of the card. the last thing is to glue the snowflakes on.

I thought about placing white "Pearls" on the snowflakes, but decided it would be too much.

Hope you like my card.

Thanks for stopping by...I would love to hear what you think.

CardzTV Christmas Blog Hop December 17th and 18th

Christmas is just a week away...oh my! Are you finished your shopping and wrapping yet? I'm getting there. (lol) So glad you could take some time and stop by the First Christmas Blog Hop With CardzTV. If you have come from Little Scrap Pieces with Karen, you are at the right spot. If you just happen to stop by here but would like to hop along from the beginning, please start with CardzTV with Mary.

We (the Design Team) were asked to make anything with a Christmas theme and use CardzTV stamps. I came up with five different tags and used five different CardzTV Stamps from the "Holly Jolly" Set.

Here they are a little closer...
"From Our House To Your House"

"Deck The Halls!"

"Rocking Around The Christmas Tree"

"NO Peeking!"

"Have A Holly Jolly Christmas!"

Finished Tags: 2 3/4" x 4" (not including the ribbon)

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Red, Brown and Green Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Gingerbread, Tall House, Holly, Snowman, Present and Tree
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV Clear Stamps "Holly Jolly"Set
White And Green Pigment Ink
Clear Glitter
Mounting Tape

I thought the cutouts looked like Christmas Cookies with Sugar on top.

CardzTV Challenge # 2 "Crafty Christmas"

Before I get to the challenge, I would like to apologize for not being around. I did not expect to be working as many hours as I am for as long as I have been. I am trying to make enough time for everything. I also am trying to get all the holiday stuff organized, as most of us are. (I'm hosting a cookie exchange this coming weekend). I have not had a lot of time to craft for my blog. :( Hopefully this will not be an issue for too long.

Now, onto the challenge....

This week the challenge at CardzTV is called "Crafty Christmas" (Make a Christmas project using CardzTV Stamps). I made a candy box/ornament/tag...

Finished Project: 1 3/4" x 2 1/4" x 2 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Black, Blue and Vellum
Cricut Cartridge Sweet Tooth Boxes House, page 40 (Button 6, Button 16 and Button 26)
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV with Mary "Holly Jolly" Clear Stamp Set, "From Our House to Your House"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder, Candy Cane Stripe
White Pigment Ink
Glitter
Stickles, Green
Embroidery Floss, Red 1 Strand

I used the vellum as window panes, the glitter as snow on the windows and roof and the Stickles as the garland under the windows and the wreath on the door. The bow on the door wreath is made with 1 strand of embroidery floss. I thought the embossing folder made it look like siding on a house.

I was going to put Hershey Kisses or M&M's inside as an extra goodie. Make a small hole in the center of the top and tie a ribbon loop in order to use as a tag or an ornament. To use as a tag, you could stamp "To:" and "From:" on the blank side of the roof and use a white gel pen to write the names.

Don't forget that Mary at CardzTV is giving away 2 sets of stamps..."Encouraging Thoughts" and "Make A Wish" to the winner. Good luck! Please check out all the great projects from the other designers also.

Thanks for stopping by....I would love to hear from you, so leave a comment. (I wouldn't mind if you became a follower either). See you soon...

Just My Style

This is my first project as a design team member for CardzTV. I'm so excited. Our first challenge is called "Just My Style". I actually made two cards.

Here's the first one:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Turquoise, Three Shades of Brown, Red and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Create A Critter Reindeer, page 73 (Base, Layer 1 Base, Layer 2 Base and Layer 3 Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas"
Red Glitter Glue
Queen and Co Pearls Pearl 8 Small
Le Plume II Marker Brown
Mounting Tape

My second card:

and the inside:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Cream, Brown, Yellow, Orange, Pink and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Cake 2, page 64 (Base, Layer 1 Base, Layer 1 Shift and Layer 2 Base)
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirls
Le Plume II Marker Pink (the candles and cake plate)
Fiskars Clear Stamps Put On Your Party Hat "Happy Birthday"
Queen and Co Pearls Orchid 3 Large and 2 Medium
Mounting Tape
Computer Sentiment (inside)

When I read the challenge, "Just My Style", I thought long and hard about it. I finally concluded that my style is simple. Generally, I like one large image accompanied by a sentiment. My lines are usually straight. I do like embossing folders too. Oh yeah, and 3-D projects. (lol) Now don't get me wrong, I use border punches and glitter too. I guess it just depends on my mood and the project.

Hope you check out all the projects over at CardzTV (and Mary is giving away a new stamp set too).

Leave a comment (I love reading them) and/or become a follower.
