Angry Birds Birthday Gift Bag and Card

My granddaughter, Gianna, was invited to a birthday party and the theme was Angry Birds. I thought I would make up a gift bag and card to go along with the theme.

What do you think?

Finished Bag: 8" x 10" x 4 3/4"
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
White Gift Bag
Cardstock: White, Brown, Black and Red
Cricut Cartridge George and Basic Shapes, Various Base Letters
Angry Bird Images from Computer
Inkadinkado Thinking of You All Occasions, "Happy Birthday to a Special Person"
Black Ribbon

The slingshot is hand cut. The bird on the bag is fussy cut. The inside of the card says "Happy birthday to a Special Person".  It was actually very easy to make. I think it turned out cute.

Graduation Card

First of all.....Happy Father's Day to all those father's and husband's out there. Hope you have a wonderful, relaxing day!

I don't feel a though I have been around very much lately, I have been so busy trying to get ready for a party that we are having next weekend. I have been working, making things and trying to get the backyard ready. Hopefully, I'll have some pictures the following week.

However, yesterday, my son calls me and says "Mom, could you make me a graduation card, please? I need it for tonight. And could you make it a taco?" Well, of course I said yes and dropped everything. Unfortunately, I have NOTHING with a taco...none of my cartridges and none of my free digi's. So I made a quick, regular graduation card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Two Shades of Green, White and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Everyday Pop-Up Cards Graduation Cap, page 43 (Base, Base Shift and Layer 1 Base)
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps All Occasions "Congratulations!"
Green Pigment Ink
Thin Black Marker
Queen and Co Pearl, Pearl 1 Medium
Mounting Tape

He said it was perfect! (Although I know he was disappointed it wasn't a taco...oh well!)

Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

Thank You

The Celebrate The Occasion challenge this week is to make a Thank You card and you must use a punch. I had a rewards certificate (for $10) from AC Moore and bought a new stamp set today (actually I got two different sets and only paid a little over $2 after the certificate...the stamps are 40% off also...woo hoo...I love a bargain!!!). I've been wanting to try my hand at a little "coloring" with markers.

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Yellow, Mustard, Green and Patterned Paper
McGill Botanicals Pine Punch
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Doodle Flowers
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps All Occasions "Thank You"
StazOn Ink, Jet Black
Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers, Various Colors
Queen and Co Pearls, Sunflower Yellow 2 Large, 2 Medium and 3 Small

Not too bad, I guess. I'll keep playing...lol.

Thank you for dropping by...I would love to hear what you think...

You never know what you can do unless you try...

Snowman Birthday

Birthday Sundaes has a challenge to make a birthday card using a photo as an inspiration AND they have added a twist this week, you must have a snowman on your card.

This is the photo for inspiration:

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Blue and Patterned Paper
Snowman Stamp
StazOn Ink Jet Black (for Snowman Stamp)
Inkadinkado Thinking of You Clear Stamps "Happy Birthday"
Black Pigment Ink
LePlumme II Markers, Red, Blue, Yellow, Light Green, Dark Green, Purple, Brown, Orange, Dark Gray and Dark Pink
Queen And Co Pearls, Pearl
Glitter
Mounting Tape

I thought I would try something different by using a stamped image rather than using my Cricut and cutting a snowman out. I like the way it turned out, but we'll see, I don't think my Cricut has anything to worry about..lol.

I would like to enter this is another challenge at She's A Sassy Lady (Make a birthday card for someone you love). You know that anyone that receives this card, I do love! So there you go....

Thanks for stopping by...

Tow Mater Birthday Card

My husband just loves the movie "Cars". His favorite character is "Tow Mater". Well, I have had the Cars Cartridge for a long time but just hadn't gotten around to making anything with it...until now.

My card:
and the back:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Two Shades of Brown, Tan, Yellow, Green and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Cars Mater 1, page 51 (Base, Body/White/Windows Base and Shift, Tires/Eyes Shift, Detail/Detail Base and Shift and Spare Parts Base page 50)
Inkadinkado Thinking of You Clear Stamps "Happy Birthday"
Brown Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

I cut Mater at 2 3/4", but I think it would cut better at a larger size. I'm going to keep this for my husband's birthday in July. I'm sure he'll like it.

I am entering this into three challenges: Scrappy Moms Stamps (Cartoon Characters), Fantabulous Cricut (Man Time...make a masculine project) and Creating From The Heart Simon Says Stamp Challenge (Spots and/or Stripes!).

Thanks for stopping by...

I needed to make a birthday card for my best friend. I came across these two challenges and thought this was a great starting point for me. The first challenge is from The Paper Players (sketch challenge) and the second is Birthday Sundaes (color challenge...purple, green, white and black).

Hope you like my card...

Her birthday is tomorrow, so I better get it in the mail...lol.

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Green, Two Shades of Purple and Two Patterned Papers
Sizzix Tim Holtz Alterations Bigz Die Tattered Florals
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Thinking of You, All Occasions
Thin Green Ribbon
Queen and Co Pearls Grass Green Two Large
Black Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

Have a great rest of the week. Hopefully you will see me soon with a new project. My work schedule never did get any easier and you would think by now (since May) that I would be use to it. However, 5 am comes way too early. I always seem so tired when I get home.

Keep checking back and I would love if you became a follower. Also leave a comment...It's always great to read what you have to say....

Thanks...

Frankly...Three Challenges

I made this card for Three Challenges...Cardz TV - Cricut Cardz Challenge "Things That Go Bump In The Night", CropStop " Let's Block It Out!" and Birthday Sundaes "Who's Got The Button? Birthday Card".
Here is my card:

and the inside:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Orange, Gray, Green, Black, Brown, Metallic Silver and Three Different Patterned Papers
Cricut Cartridge Mini Monsters It's Alive, page 44 (Base, Layer 1 Base and Shift Layer 2 Base and Base Shadow)
Scrappy Moms Clear Stamps (Halloween) "Frankly, You're The Best!"
Inkadinkado Thinking of You Clear Stamps, All Occasions "Happy Birthday"
Googly Eyes, Two
Orange Button
Le Plume II, Brown
Mounting Tape

The Scrappy Moms Stamp that I used was from a set that I won about a week ago. I was so excited when I received the news. I couldn't wait to use one. Frankly, (lol) I think the inspiration started there.
I mounted Frankenstein and the Pumpkin (button) with a single layer of mounting tape and the sign with a double layer.

Been on "vacation" for the last two weeks...My husband and I went to Ocean City, Maryland for a few days. This was our view from our hotel room:

Isn't that beautiful? We went to sleep with the sound of the ocean...aahhh, Can I go back?
One day we took our granddaughter with our son to the Philadelphia Zoo. We (my husband and I) visited Historic Smithville in New Jersey. We were able to go out to dinner with some friends on one night and family on another. We also had to get my CR-V's air conditioning fixed (the compressor broke), wait for the repairman for my new dishwasher to come and we bought a new mattress. We were hoping to get some things done around the house and maybe to be able to go somewhere else for a few days, however, the weather didn't want to cooperate and my husband ended up with a nasty cold. We also celebrated our anniversary. I get to return to work on Monday. My husband goes back on Thursday. It always goes by too fast.

Thanks for stopping by...please leave a comment (I look forward to reading them)

Have a wonderful week....
