The Celebrate The Occasion challenge this week is to make a Thank You card and you must use a punch. I had a rewards certificate (for $10) from AC Moore and bought a new stamp set today (actually I got two different sets and only paid a little over $2 after the certificate...the stamps are 40% off also...woo hoo...I love a bargain!!!). I've been wanting to try my hand at a little "coloring" with markers.
Here is my card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Yellow, Mustard, Green and Patterned Paper
McGill Botanicals Pine Punch
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Doodle Flowers
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps All Occasions "Thank You"
StazOn Ink, Jet Black
Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers, Various Colors
Queen and Co Pearls, Sunflower Yellow 2 Large, 2 Medium and 3 Small
Not too bad, I guess. I'll keep playing...lol.
Thank you for dropping by...I would love to hear what you think...

Valentiny Cards
There is a challenge at Fantabulous Cricut called "Valentiny Cards" (make a 3 x 3 card for Valentine's Day). I made 3 cards.
Finished Card: 3" x 3"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Dark Red, Pink and Three Different Patterned Papers
Cricut Cartridge Tie The Knot Thank You, page 59 (Base and Blackout/Shadow Shift)
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps "Ticket Talk", Three Different Size Hearts
Queen and Co Pearls, Orchid and Classy Red 2 Large, 2 Medium and 2 Small each
Queen and Co Rhinestones, Orchid 2 Large, 2 Medium and 2 Small
Red Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape
Fairly quick and easy project. I stamped the pink "Thank you" heart with the 3 hearts from CardzTV clear stamps with red pigment ink, glued it to the dark red heart and then used the mounting tape to adhere it to the background paper. I finished it with the pearls/rhinestones.
Leave a comment (always love reading what you think) and thanks for stopping by...

I Love You
The Paper Players challenge is a sketch challenge this week (click here to see the sketch).
This is my card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: Black, White, Red and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Indie Art Lips, 5th Button (Base and Shadow Base)
Sizzix Double Heart
Martha Stewart String Lace Set, Corner Punch Only
Doodlebug Design Inc Crushed Velvet Flock, Red
Inkssential Glossy Accents
Queen and Co Rhinestones Classy Red, 3 Large
White Ribbon
Computer Sentiment
I don't think of this as one of my "typical" types of cards, but I do like the way it came out. The heart is flocked and I wanted the lips to stand out and be shiny.
Thanks for stopping by.
I would love to hear what you think...leave me a comment.

Happy BIRD-day!
Birthday Sundaes has a challenge this week to make an Easel Card with the birthday sentiment on the front. I made this cute little easel card.
And when opened:
and one more angle:
Finished Card: 3" x 3 1/2" ((to the top of the hat)
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Blue, Dark Blue, Yellow/Gold, Purple, Brown, Tan, Pink and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge 3 Birds on Parade Bird 1, page 28 (Base, Shift, Layer 1 Base and Layer 1 Shift); Party, page 63 (Base (cut for the cupcake only), Layer 2 Base and Layer 2 Shift) and Nest, page 75 (Base and Shift)
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Make A Wish, "Happy BIRD-day!"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirls
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Candy Cane Stripes
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
Black Pigment Ink
Small Yellow Pom Pom
Mounting Tape
I made this easel card by cutting a strip of white card stock 3" x 9". I scored at 3", 4 1/2" and 6". Fold to make a "M" shape. Glue the one side of the middle of the "M" to the side...this forms the front of the card. This is the base of the easel card. I added the patterned paper to the inside and decorated. I decorated an extra piece of card stock and adhered it to the front of the card. I hope you understand what I did. If not, you can check out Andrea's Stampin' Moments (click here). (I just changed the measurements).
My husband had bought me the CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamp Set "Make a Wish" for Christmas and as soon as I saw the sentiment "Happy BIRD-day!" I knew I wanted to make a"birdie birthday" card. I like how it turned out. Do you?

CardzTV DT Challenge #4 "It' a Guy Thing"
Our challenge this week was to make a masculine card using CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps " It's a Guy Thing". I actually made two cards, although I didn't start out with that idea. I'll explain later in the post.
Here is the first card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Black, Yellow, Silver and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Father's Day, Buttons 27 and 37
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps It's a Guy Thing "Boys and Their Toys"
Black Pigment Ink
Queen and Company Pearls Nightfall, 3 Large
Mounting Tape
Last year my oldest and youngest sons decided to get their motorcycle licenses (Much to my concerns, I may have mentioned that last year..lol). My youngest bought a motorcycle soon after. I tried to make the card motorcycle look similar to his. I think I did it justice.
So, after I finished that card, I decided to make another card for no particular reason except to make a card. Since I originally had no direction, I thought I would use random generator and play my challenge game. (Pick a number to coordinate with one of my Cricut Cartridges). The cartridge that came up was Celebrate With Flourish. Again, using random generator to pick the image, the #1 Dad image was chosen. Hey, another man card! So that's how the second card came about.
Here's the second card:
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Orange, Green, Dark Green and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Celebrate With Flourish Happy Father's Day 1, Base and all Layers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps It's a Guy Thing "Happy Father's Day"
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Ticket Talk "I Love You"
Queen and Co Pearls Grass Green, 8 Small
Mounting Tape
The inside (which I forgot to take a picture) has "I Love You" stamped in orange from the CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Ticket Talk Set .
Don't forget that Mary at CardzTV is giving away a set of stamps. Please check it out as well as the other great projects from the other Design Team Members.
Thanks for stopping by...please leave a comment. I would love to hear what you think.

Purse and Matching Card
I made this project for a couple of challenges...Bitten by The Bug 2 (Dimensional 6 Petal Flower) and The Cuttlebug Spot (Make A Box And Something To Place In It).
Here is my project:
Finished Purse: 1 1/2" x 4" x 5 1/2" (to the top of the handle)
Finished Card: 2 1/2" x 3"
Materials:
Cardstock: Embossed Teal, White and Light Green
Cricut Cartridge Tags, Bags, Boxes and More Purse 2, page 118 (Base)
Cricut Cartridge Forever Young Flower 10, page 73 (Base, Shift, Layer Base and Layer Shift)
White Ribbon
Teal Pigment Ink
Queen and Co Pearls, Teal 2 Large, 2 Medium and 4 Small
Velcro (For Purse Closure)
Mounting Tape
Bitten By the Bug 2 had asked to use the 6 petal flower in the Bloom Cartridge; however, I do not own that cartridge. I was able to find a six petal flower in the Forever Young Cartridge and used that instead. The edges of the white flowers are curled up (it's hard to see in the photo). The purse can hold the card and a gift card or other small gift or candy. I didn't finish the inside of the card, as I'm not sure who I will give it to yet. I could use it for a birthday or for Mother's Day. I really like the way this project came out. What do you think?

Sympathy Card
Quick post tonight...I am really tired.
Last night I received a phone call that my cousin's wife had passed away and the viewing was later that night. I had a couple hours beforehand, so I made a quick Sympathy Card.
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Gray, Black and La Creme Matstack
Fiskars All Year Greetings "With Sympathy"
Queen and Co Pearls Nightfall, 4 Small
I think it came out ok.
Went to work early (6 am), so I could go to the funeral today. So that explains why I am so tired now. (lol)
Hope to make some cards/projects soon...thanks for stopping by.
