Second post today...
Another Birthday Card...Can you ever have enough of them? I think not...lol
I combined two challenges for this card. At My Craft Spot the challenge is "For The Birds" (Make a project and include a bird) and at CropStop, the challenge is "Rainbow of Colors" (Use 4 different colors and shades of the same color do not count).
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Light Yellow/Orange, Pink, Green and Patterned Paper
Studio G i-cling Stamps, Bird
StazOn Black Ink
Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers
Nicole Ultra Fine Premium Glitter, Extra Fine Multi Diamond Dust
Fiskars 3 in 1 Corner Punch
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Make A Wish, "Happy Bird-day!"
Black Pigment Ink
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl 2 Small
Pink Ribbon
Mounting Tape
Black Sharpie
After I outlined the bird's body with the marker, I used a brush with water to "color" the inside of the body. After it was dry, I glittered the body and the tail. Using a Sharpie, I added the legs to the bird. I am happy the way it all came together. What do you think?
Today is a beautiful sunny (but cool) day here. I am going to try and get outside in my front garden and pull out the old sticks. It would be nice to see the daffs, hyacinths and crocus that are blooming without all the old dead stuff around them. Have a nice rest of the day...
Leave a comment (I love reading them) and thanks for stopping by...

"Spring Has Sprung" Daisy
Pin It
Spring has sprung over at The Paper Players and that's what this card reminds me of...Spring! I love the simplicity of this card. What do you think?
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Yellow and Yellow/Orange
Free Digital Image from Birds Cards
Spectrum Noir Markers
Studio G Clear Stamps "Thanks"
Yellow/Orange Pigment Ink
Yellow/Gold Rhinestones, 2 Large
I have been playing around with the Spectrum Noir Markers (they are like Copics (alcohol based), but a little less expensive) and the Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers (water-based) and just having a good time. It can become very addicting. I figure it's just another avenue for my creativity. There's always room to expand...right?
Yesterday I started to clean up a small area in front of my washer and dryer...well, that turned into all day! In fact, I still have things to sort through today...a lot of socks for one...hahaha (you know the ones I'm talking about, you do a load of wash and end up with a lonely sock, so you put it to the side hoping you'll find the mate...well, the lonely sock pile kept growing...and growing...and growing...I'm working on the white socks today...(I did the colored ones last night....still have some missing socks though. Maybe it's just time to throw them out!...oh, my son would be so proud (I hate throwing anything away))) Wish me luck!

A Bunny "For You"
There's been a lot going on around here for the last week or so. You knew that my youngest was in an accident (again, he was fine), but the Explorer was totaled. So we were starting to look around for a car for him and dealing with the insurance. Well, twelve days after Jeff's accident, my middle son's car just died. Not really wanting to put any money into a car that had over 170,000 miles on it, we were left with trying to find two cars. (Oh, the joy!) Thankfully to my husband and a lot of man hours, we now have two "new" cars...a 2008 Jeep Patriot for my youngest and a 2006 Nissan Altima for my middle son (...and two car payments for us...lol)
With all of that, not a whole lot of crafting going on around here. However, I was able to make one for The Paper Variety this morning. It's a "Tic Tac Toe" challenge. I picked "Create A Card", "Use Two Border Punches" and "Spring Theme". Here is my card:
Finished Card: 4 3/4" x 6"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Yellow and Green
Free Vintage Stamps, Digital Image, Rabbit
Spectrum Noir Markers
Recollections Border Punch Dotted Line
Martha Stewart Border Punch String Lace
EKS Scallop Circle Punch
Fiskars All Year Greeting Clear Stamps, "For You"
White Pigment Ink
Green Pigment Ink
Thin Green Ribbon
Mounting Tape
I mounted the "For You" Flower, the Bunny and the Lace border. (I think you can see the shadows from the layers). I really like the way it came out. What do you think?
Well, back to the craft room....thanks for stopping by.
