April Showers Bring May Flowers! And what do we need for showers? Umbrellas. That's the challenge this week at Digi Haven. Our sponsor is Bugaboo Stamps. They have some of the cutest images. The challenge is for 2 weeks and Bugaboo is giving away 7, (yes, I said 7), images to the winner. (Wow...can I play too?)

I made 4 cards all using the same image:

I know I got carried away, but I just think she is a hoot. Don't you?

Personally, I love the May flowers but I can do without April's grey rainy days. Sun showers are ok though...lol. Looking forward to warmer, sunny days.

CardzTV Stamps Challenge #25 "Luck Of The Irish!"

This week at CardzTV Stamps the Challenge is "Luck of the Irish". Use stamped, digital or electronically cut shamrocks or leprechauns on your project. The challenge will run 2 weeks and Mary at CardzTV will be giving away a set of her stamps to the winner.

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, 3 Shades of Green, Black, 2 Shades of Brown, Tan, Yellow and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up Body, page 29 (Base); Leprechaun, page 40 (Base, Shift, Headwear 1 Base, Headwear 1 Shift, Accessories 1 Base, Accessories 1 Shift, Accessories 2 Base, Accessories 2 Shift, Accessories 3 Base and Accessories 3 Shift)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Happy Days, " Happy St. Patrick's Day!"
Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter, Florentine Gold
Nicole Ultra Fine Glitter Extra Fine Iridescent Gold
Pink Chalk
Mounting Tape

The tinsel glitter is in the pot. Boy, doesn't it shine? I thought this turned out cute. I don't use the Paper Dolls very often, but I really think I should. They always turn out so nice.

Do you celebrate St Patrick's Day? We do around here. Every year I always make corned beef and cabbage with boiled potatoes, (sometimes I make ham and string beans too, depending on how many people are coming over). We also have an Irish coffee after dinner! This dinner is a something that my mom started when I was a kid...and I kept the tradition going. Always brings a little of my Mom back to me.

Hope you like my project. Don't forget to check the other designer's projects and that Mary is giving away a set of stamps to the winner. Good luck.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment. I love to read them.

Digi Haven Challenge Harvest

If you are looking for CardzTV Challenge #15 "Bling It Up", click here.

There has been a lot going on around here, so I haven't been around lately..."popped" my rib, rest, vacation (sort of), re-"popping" my rib, more rest, loss of mojo (in everything), Memorial Services, reorganizing the craft area (still), etc, etc, etc. I am trying to get back in the swing of things. Keep your fingers crossed...

The challenge this week at Digi Haven is Harvest. (Use a free digital image. Make sure you link back to the original artist...we always want to give credit, where credit is due!)

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Gold, Green and White (for printing image)
ScrapHappy Paper Crafter Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
Glossy Accents
Cream Sheer Ribbon
Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter Florentine Gold
Nicole Ultra Fine Premium Glitter Extra Fine Multi Diamond Dust
Recollections Adhesive Glitter Shapes (3 Sunflowers)

I thought the tinsel glitter gave the hay bale a little dimension and the Glossy Accents the same for the pumpkins and apples.

I guess the leaves will be turning soon; the temperature has already started to drop. I can't believe that it's already mid-September and Fall/ Halloween is around the corner, and then Thanksgiving and Christmas shortly after. Where has this year gone? (I must be getting old...).

Anyway, hope you decide to join the challenge, it's open for 2 weeks.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment.

Trying To Get Back In The Swing Of Things...Two Challenges

Well, I am trying to get back to crafting after it feels like forever....I made a card for two different challenges. The first one is The Paper Variety (Create a project using Black and White with a Kiss of Color (any color)). The second challenge is Die Cuttin' Diva's (sketch).

Here is the card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Black, Red and Two Different Patterned Papers
Cricut Cartridge Simply Charmed Cupcake 2, page 77 (Shift Base, Shift Layer 1 Shift Layer 2 and Shift Layer 3)
Cricut Design Studio
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps, Make a Wish "Happy Birthday!"
Martha Stewart Edger Doily Lace
1 1/4" Circle Punch
Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter Crystal
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
Mounting Tape

I really like the way this turned out. However, with that said, I decided to make another card using the same sketch, but with different papers. Here is that card:

(Instead of Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter, I used regular clear glitter). Now I also like the way this one turned out. I always think it is so cool how basically the same idea can look so different. What do you think? Which one do you like?

Well, I really want to get back to making another card, while I have a chance (lol)...Thank you for stopping by...(Leave a comment)
