Happy Birthday Flowers

The Paper Players challenge this week is "Nance's Theme Challenge: Flowers" (Floral image on your card).

I've been playing around with markers and I came up with this card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Purple and Patterned Paper
Inkadinkado Clear Stamps Flowers, Daisy, Stem and Butterfly
StazOn Jet Black Ink
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps, Make a Wish "Happy Birthday!"
White Pigment Ink
Sugarloaf Whispers Strokes Markers
Queen and Co. Pearls, Lavender 3 Large
Martha Stewart Garden Trellis Deep Edge Punch
Mounting Tape

I double mounted the flowers and single mounted the sentiment and the butterfly...you can't really see the dimension from the photo. Thought it was a fun, colorful birthday card. Hope you like it.

Easter Bunny

The challenge this week at Cricut Cardz Challenge is to make a project, card or layout for Easter. Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Yellow, Green, Purple, White, Black and Patterned Paper.
Cricut Cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up Magician page 40, (Accessories 3 Base)
Cricut Solutions Cartridge Soccer Grass (Button 15)
Martha Stewart Garden Trellis Deep Edge Border Punch
Small Flower Punch
Clear Rhinestones (10)
Gray and Pink Chalk
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
Mounting Tape

The inside has green cardstock (that matches the grass...you can see it peeking through the trellis) and a computer sentiment "happy easter".  I think this is a really cute bunny. (I also really like the Simply Charmed bunny).

Hope the Easter bunny visits your house this year...and eat a chocolate egg for me...enjoy...

Join the fun and create something for a challenge...just imagine what you could do....

Papercraft Star Challenge #28 Liz Chidester Sketch

This week at Papercraft Star the challenge is a sketch.

I was inspired to make a Valentine's Day card.

Finished card: 4 1/4"x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Red, Patterned Paper, and Red Embossed Cardstock
Cricut Cartridge Lyrical Letters "B" page 29 (Shift Loop Dee Loo), Love U (Heart) page 71 (Shift Loop Dee Loo)
Martha Stewart Deep Edge Punch Garden Trellis
EK Success Corner Rounder Punch
EK Success Sticko Dimensional Sticker (Pink Heart)
Red Ribbon
Red Pigment Ink
3D-Dots

The sentiment "Be my Valentine", minus the "B", was printed from my computer. I think the heart on the inside finishes off the card.

Now here is a story for you: I happen to be using Design Studio (not absolutely necessary to use, that's why I didn't list it) when I made the "B". I finished the front of the card but thought it just didn't look "done". I happened to glance at my computer screen and Design Studio with the Lyrical Letters Cartridge was still there. I saw the heart and decided that was what the inside needed. So, I used Design Studio, resized the heart and cut it out. When I went to write it up in the materials list, I went to the handbook to find out the page and such, but I couldn't find the heart. I kept looking and looking but nothing. So I went back to my computer and thank goodness, I hadn't changed the screen. There it was...bottom row 4th button in. Again, I went back to the handbook and finally I found it...this small itty bitty heart in the far corner. No wonder I kept missing it. My lesson to all of you: Look carefully through your handbooks because there just might be an image in there that you didn't know existed and it could just be what you need to finish your project. I know I'll be looking closer from now on.

Hope you like the card. I would love to hear from you. Leave me a comment...become a follower (even better)...now get inspired...imagine what you could do

Champagne for two...

Our family attended a beautiful wedding this past weekend. Our niece was married at Lake George. She looked like a princess. One of the guests (she was about 3 maybe 4 years old), wanted to have her picture taken "with the pretty lady".

I had made this card a while ago but had never put any sentiment in it. I thought that it would be perfect to give to the bride and groom.

Finished size: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cricut Cartridge Tie the Knot  Toast Base (page 44), Shift Base
Martha Stewart Deep Edger Punch-Garden Trellis
Gold Glitter
Cardstock: Patterned paper, White
Ribbon

Directions:
1. Fold 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" card in half to make an A2 card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). Using the Garden Trellis punch, punch the long edge of the front of the card.
2. Cut the pattered paper to fit the inside of the card (4 1/4" x 5 1/2"). Glue down. Cut another piece for the front leaving 1/4" border (I'm not sure of the exact measurements).
3. Cut the ribbon so it fits around the patterned paper long-wise, then adhere to the back of the front panel. Glue the panel down.
4. Using Tie the Knot cartridge, cut the toast (glasses) base in white cardstock. (again, not sure of the exact measurement...) Cut the Shift base also in white cardstock. Cut off the stem of the glasses, glitter the top of the glasses and the bubbles with gold. Layer and 3D-Dot to the front of the card.
5. Stamp the sentiment to the inside of the card. I used "Best Wishes".

I hope that the bride and groom liked my card, as I gave it with love. I hope all their dreams come true... now go and make your creative dreams come true...imagine what you could do....
