"Loss of Your Beloved Pet" Card

Here is another card that I made a couple of weeks ago but never posted. I don't like thinking about these kinds of cards (or sympathy cards). I find them hard to make, however with that said, this card came pretty easy...because of the image.

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Red and Black
Michell Perkett Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
Cuttlebug Companion Embossing Folder Simply Charmed
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
White Ribbon
Mounting Tape

It is hard to see but the black layer is embossed (you'll have to look close). I twisted the Red/Image layer instead of squaring it up because I thought it made more of an impact. Do you agree?

I never thought that I would enjoy using digital images as much as I do, because I really like my Cricut Expression. (Now I have had an Expression 2 also, and I am finding it a little difficult to use...then again, I haven't spent a whole lot of time trying. In addition, I don't own a Gypsy, otherwise I think it would make it easier. Am I correct?) Anyway, I am finding that both avenues to be a way to show my creativity. I hope you like what I make.

I'm All Ears!

I made a card that I am entering into Carson's Creations Embossing Blog Hop Challenge. I hope you like it.

Finished Card: 4 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Green and Light Pink
Free Vintage Digital Stamps Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps, Easter Punnies "I'm All Ears!"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder from the Simply Charmed 4 Pack Set
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl 6 Small
Mounting Tape

I made the card...then there was something I didn't like about it. So I ripped it apart. I made it a second time and again there was something I didn't like. So I ripped that part off. This didn't happen twice, or three times but this is actually the fourth version. (Did someone say "perfectionist"?...nah, couldn't be me!) lol

I do LOVE those bunnies though! Don't you?

This Hop is all about embossing...heat and dry. I really like dry embossing, but never have had a lot of luck (at least to my satisfaction...oh, there's that perfectionist thing again...no, really it CAN"T be me! lol) with heat embossing. I did read that several of the designers that did the heat embossing used VersaMark to stamp with. I have used VersaMark before, but never for embossing. So, thank you for inspiring me to try something new. Keep checking my blog for future posts and see how I do.

Thanks for stopping by.
