All Your Eggs In One Basket

I made this cute Easter card for several challenges...Cupcake Inspirations (photo inspiration), My Craft Spot (Easter) and Made Especially For You (Easter Card Featuring a Digital Stamp).

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Gray and Pink
May Brit Hobby Blog Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Easter Punnies, "Don't Put All Your Eggs In One Basket"
StazOn Jet Black Ink
Sizzix Embossing Folder Scallops and Lines
Homemade "Baker's Twine" using Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread and Spectrum Noir Markers
Queen and Co Pearls, Silver 2 Large
Mounting Tape

Her dress reminds me of an upside down cupcake liner...lol. Isn't she a cutie? I think so. Hope you like her.

Can't believe that Easter is just around the corner. We're having family over for dinner and hopefully an egg hunt. How about you?

Leave me a comment (I would love to hear from you).

EGGS-tra Special Easter

I am entering this card into three different challenges: Go Fish (Something Fun or Funny), The Paper Variety (Card and Coordinating Envelope) and Scrappy Moms Stamps (Easter).

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Two Shades of Pink
$1 Bunny Stamp from Michaels
VersaMark Stamp Pad
Black Embossing Powder
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Easter Punnies "Have an EGGS-tra special Easter!"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Swiss Dots
Queen and Co Pearls, Orchid 9 Medium
Mounting Tape
Studio G Clear Stamps, Eggs (on envelope)
Black Pigment Ink (on envelope)

If you read my first post on March 31st, (just scroll down if you would like to see it), you know that I was going to challenge myself to use heat embossing...and this the the second card that I have done just that. I really like the way the embossing came out again. Since it was small areas that needed to be colored, the Spectrum Noir Markers worked fine, but I don't think I would use them for larger areas with the heat embossing. I think there was a chemical reaction going on that  might ruin your larger projects...just my opinion though.

For the envelope, I made a coordinating liner with the colors and the Swiss Dots embossing. I also added a stamped set of eggs for a play on words with the sentiment.

I think I got my money's worth with my Michael's dollar stamp...he is such a funny bunny. Don't you agree?

Thanks for dropping by.

I'm All Ears!

I made a card that I am entering into Carson's Creations Embossing Blog Hop Challenge. I hope you like it.

Finished Card: 4 1/2" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Green and Light Pink
Free Vintage Digital Stamps Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps, Easter Punnies "I'm All Ears!"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder from the Simply Charmed 4 Pack Set
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl 6 Small
Mounting Tape

I made the card...then there was something I didn't like about it. So I ripped it apart. I made it a second time and again there was something I didn't like. So I ripped that part off. This didn't happen twice, or three times but this is actually the fourth version. (Did someone say "perfectionist"?...nah, couldn't be me!) lol

I do LOVE those bunnies though! Don't you?

This Hop is all about embossing...heat and dry. I really like dry embossing, but never have had a lot of luck (at least to my satisfaction...oh, there's that perfectionist thing again...no, really it CAN"T be me! lol) with heat embossing. I did read that several of the designers that did the heat embossing used VersaMark to stamp with. I have used VersaMark before, but never for embossing. So, thank you for inspiring me to try something new. Keep checking my blog for future posts and see how I do.

Thanks for stopping by.

CardzTV Design Team Spring Blog Hop

We're having a Blog Hop here with Mary at CardzTV March 24th and 25th.  The theme is Spring or Easter. (Create a card or project for Spring or Easter). If you arrived here from Little Scrap Pieces with Karen, then you are in the right place. If you just happen to stop by (thank you) and would like to hop a long, you can start here.

This is my project (I made six of them for my family for Easter):

It's a card with a chocolate bunny:

You really need to read the "cartoon":

(First bunny: "OUCH!!! My butt HURTS!!!  Second bunny: "What?")
Then my CardzTV Stamp sentiment underneath reads: "I never met a chocolate bunny I didn't like!"

Here are a few more photos:

They are all "colored" differently, making each card unique. I just think they are hysterical!

Finished Postcard: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, 2 Shades of Teal, 2 Shades of Purple, 2 Shades of Green, 2 Shades of Pink, 2 Shades of Blue and 2 Shades of Yellow.
Scrap Happy Paper Crafter Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Easter Punnies, "I never met a chocolate bunny I didn't like!"
Homemade Baker's Twine made from Aunt Lydia's Crochet Thread and Spectrum Noir Markers in 6 Different Colors
Palmer Chocolate Bunny
Clear Cello Wrap
Curling Ribbon
