My mojo is on vacation and it left me at home. I hope it's having a good time! Haven't really been working on anything creative...Been trying to keep up with the Design Team stuff but I have even had a hard time with that. (Not that I want to give that up...it's the only thing that is keeping me going! Thank you Fantabulous Cricut). This all started when my work hours increased back in May! I thought my extended hours would be ending by the 23rd of July, but I think that they will be continuing until the 20th of August. That's the entire summer! I don't feel as though I have been able to enjoy the summer at all this year...and I was so looking forward to it. :(
I did just buy some new cartridges at AC Moore...Luau Solutions, Happy Graduation Solutions, Father's Day Solutions (these were marked down pretty good), Everyday Pop-Up Cards (this was on sale) and Sweet Tooth Boxes (I know this one just came out). I'm hoping that this will entice my mojo to come home.
One bright spot is my grand-daughter. She is such a sweetie and cute-as-a-button! I'm hoping when she gets older that we can craft together. We'll have to wait and see...
Well I hope everyone has a wonderful Saturday! Hope to see you soon. (If you see my mojo, please tell it to come home...I do miss it! Thanks!!!)

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge "Melon Time"
This week at Fantabulous Cricut, the challenge was "Melon Time" (Make a project with fruit or a melon on it). I made an invitation with some napkin holders.
Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Green, Red, Black and Green Checked Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Stretch Your Imagination Watermelon, page 34 (Base, Layers Base and Blackout Base)
Cut at 3 1/2" for Invitation and 2" for Napkin Rings
1/2" wide Green cardstock strips for Rings (Adjust length for size of napkins)
Cricut Design Studio (To cut multiple melons at the same time)
Glossy Accents (on seeds)
Green Ribbon
White Pigment Ink (to make the "Rind' on Melon)
EK Success Scallop Circle Punch (for "teeth" marks)
Computer Sentiment
Mounting Tape
Fairly easy project so you can make several invitations and napkin rings without too much trouble. I wish the photos showed how shiny the seeds look from the Glossy Accents. I even added it to the small melons. For another idea, you could change the sentiments and make this into a "Thank You" Card...quick and easy.
Haven't been around cause things are still crazy around here...I was hoping it would be back to normal by now. I thought my hours were going to change at work, however, they haven't as of yet. We'll see when it happens.
Just so you know, two of my sons are trying to kill me (lol)...My youngest bought a motorcycle (yikes) AND on the same week, my youngest and my middle sons went skydiving (double yikes). I could never do it!!!
Proof that they made it back safe.
The garden is thriving...tomatoes of every size, cucumbers, peppers, and string beans. I did finally get all my flowers planted (only took 2 months longer than expected). Now I just hope that the heat wave we are in right now doesn't kill them.
I have felt that my creative juices were on vacation for quite a while also. (Too bad that they didn't take me as well). However, I am seeing glimmers that they are returning...so thank you for being patient.
Hope you have a great week...

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Let's Go Camping
This week at Fantabulous Cricut, the challenge is "Let's Go Camping" (Make an outdoor themed project). When I think of camping, I think of fishing. I also needed to have a birthday card for husband's brother-in-law. Here's my card:
Materials:
Cardstock: White, Yellow, Black and Two Patterned Papers
Cricut Cartridge: Just Because Fishing, page 49 (Layer1, Shift Layer 1, Layer 2, Shift layer 2 and Shift Layer 3/Shadow)
Cricut Design Studio
Small Circle Punch
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl Small
Mounting Tape
Computer Sentiment
It's simple, but cute. Hope you like it.
So, I have to apologize that I haven't been around lately. You know how it is...life getting in the way...some good, some bad. My job...long hours, my back...hurting, my creativity...taking a vacation and my granddaughter...cutie pie, stealing my heart. Wouldn't you agree with the picture below?
So I'm hoping that I will be around a little more than I have been, and my spark finally decides to rejoin me.
Thanks....leave a comment, I would love to hear from you.
