Turkey Tail Feathers?

I bought a new Cricut cartridge (Ribbons and Rosettes) the other day. I thought it would make some nice decorations for Christmas. However, I wanted to play a little bit, so I made this thinking I could use it for Thanksgiving.

Finished Project: 6" diameter

Materials:
Cardstock: Brown and Orange
Cricut Cartridge Ribbons and Rosettes Scallop 3, page 23 (Base, Shift and Rhinestone/Medallion Shadow Shift)
String or Thread

This particular cut reminded me of turkey tail feathers. I cut out 6 Base cuts at 3 ", then scored and folded. Glue the ends together making a circle. Push down the center to make it flat and adhere the medallion with shadow in the middle. I found this to be a little tricky. While the glue was drying, I held it in place with the glue bottle. I did make a medallion for each side. Glue only one side at a time. Add the thread and hang. When I make this again, I will rethink the type of glue I use. The tacky glue wrinkled the paper on the cutout on the medallion. What would you recommend?

I feel like I haven't had a lot of time to craft. I am having Thanksgiving dinner and I am trying to get my house ready for company. First, of course, I decided to paint and you all know how that goes...taking down pictures, spackle, sand and then paint. Then I had to get new curtains...which was not as easy as I would have thought it should have been...well, 4 sets of curtains later, I finally have them up. I also wanted two wall mounted coat racks...again, not so easy. I couldn't find anything that I liked. Those too are now up. I had to clean out boxes, etc etc etc. and it's still not quite finished. It's those little nagging "what do I do with this now" stuff that I am still debating on what to do with. Usually I get frustrated, throw it in a box and store it away...lol. I'm sure I'm not the only one that does that......I still need to go grocery shopping too. Geez, I'm making myself very tired just thinking about it. So, I guess I better go and see about getting something accomplished...hhmmmmm, my cozy bed is looking really good right about now. Maybe I'll start tomorrow after work....Sounds like a plan....

imagine what you could do.....
