Digi Haven Challenge Wreaths and/or Ornaments

If you are looking for the CardzTV Stamp Challenge "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!", please click here.

Here at Digi Haven the Challenge is "Wreaths and/or Ornaments". This is our last challenge for the year and there are going to be some BIG changes coming in Jan. Please check back to see all that is new! However with this challenge, the rules are the same: please use a FREE digi and link back to the original artist to be eligible for the winner's circle. Challenge runs from Dec 14th to the 28th.

For this challenge I made a gift tag:

Finished Tag: 3 1/2" x 5"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Pink
Gingerloft Digital Image Ornament
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Christmas Joy, "To:" and "From:"
Inkssentials Glossy Accents
Extra Fine Clear Premium Glitter
Black Pigment Ink
Pink Ribbon

I hope you can see the Glossy Accents on the ornament "cap" and the teal decoration. The glitter is on the ornament, the pines and the leaves. Usually I make cards (and I do think this would make a beautiful one), but I thought I would change things up a bit.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment.

CardzTV Stamps Challenge #21 "I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!"

If you are looking for the Digi Haven Challenge "Wreaths and/or Ornaments", click here. (after 5 am EST)

"I'm Dreaming of a White Christmas!" is the theme for the CardzTV Stamp Challenge this week. Create a card, layout or craft project for Christmas with snow, snowflakes or a snowman. Challenge will run from Dec 14th to Dec 20th. Mary at CardzTV will have a set of her stamps for the winner.

This is my project:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Two Shades of Purple, Light Teal and Patterned Vellum
Cricut Cartridges Winter Woodland Snowman, page 47 (Base, Base Shift, Layers Base and Shadow/Blackout Base)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly, ""Let It Snow!"
Martha Stewart Punch Around the Page Combo, Snowflake from Corner Punch
Black Pigment Ink
Queen and Co Pearls Lavender, 4 Medium and 6 Small
Light Blue Pom Pom
Mounting Tape

I really liked the snowflake vellum and thought the blue and purple was pretty. The snowman and  flakes are single mounted.

I'm really not a fan of (real) snow, the older I get. Too cold for me and I don't ski or snowboard.

This is the last challenge for the stamp design team for this year. (Got to get ready for the holidays!) Enjoy the challenge and maybe you will win one of Mary's stamps (your choice). Good luck.

Have a wonderful holiday! Check back for the next challenge in Jan.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment.

Digi Haven December Anything Goes Challenge

This will be our last "Anything Goes" monthly challenge here at Digi Haven. We are changing things up for the new year. For this challenge however, please use a FREE digi and link back to the original artist. It's that simple. Can't wait to see what you come up with....

Here is my card:

And the inside:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White
Stamp Fairy  Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
Spellbinders Nestabilities Reverse Wonky Rectangles (2nd, 3rd and 4th Largest)
Sizzix Embossing Folder Snowflakes
Clear Extra Fine Glitter
Mounting Tape

My inspiration while making this card was from the Christmas song "Let It Snow". (Bet you could have never guessed that!). Fairly simple...added glitter to the embossed snowflakes and the noses and top of the snowman's heads on the front of the card. (Not really sure if you can see it in the photo). The smallest "Let It Snow" is double mounted and the larger one on the front is single mounted. I like the way it turned out...hope you do too. (The photo really does this card no justice).

We are still looking for a few new designers, so if you are interested please check out the Digi Haven site with all the info. We are having a Grand Re-opening on Jan 4th...with lots of changes, sponsors and prizes. Don't forget to check it all out. Until then, I hope you decide to join us with this "Anything Goes"Challenge...and a reminder, use a FREE digital image and link it back to the original artist.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment.

Digi Haven Challenge "Christmas"

If you are looking for CardzTV Stamps Challenge "To Die For!", click here.

Christmas is just around the corner, (can you believe it?) so here at Digi Haven we are starting to celebrate. We would love it if you joined the challenge. Please use a FREE digital image AND link back to the original artist. There is an original digital sentiment prize from our own Mynnette.

Before I show you my card, I also have some other news....(woo hoo!!!)...starting Jan 4th we are have a Grand Re-opening! Some of the rules will be changing AND we will have some prizes!! WOW, right? We are pretty excited. ALSO (no, there can't be more...but there is) we have a Design Team Call right now. If you are interested in joining the team, please check it out at the Digi Haven blog.

Now to my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Red and Patterned Paper
Beccy's Place Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Christmas Joy, "Cookies for Santa!"
Sizzix Ovals, Scallops # 3
Queen and Co Pearls Berry Red 1 Small and Pearl 4 Small
White Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

The cookies are fussy-cut and single mounted. I hand wrote "Santa" on the tag.

This is the digital sentiment you would win:

I liked the cookie image so much that I made my annual cookie exchange invitations with it also. Here are just a couple of the invitations (each one had a different background paper):

I glittered the ribbon on the invitations and stamped the sentiment "You're invited".

I really like the way all of them turned out. What do you think?

Now don't forget, there are changes happening real soon, but until then please use a FREE image and link back to the artist to be considered for the winner's circle and the sentiment image prize.

For more info to apply for the Design Team, go to the Digi Haven blog.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by. Please leave a comment and tell me what you think.

CardzTV Stamps Challenge # 20 "To Die For!"

If you are looking for Digi Haven Challenge "Christmas", click here (after 5 am EST).

This is the challenge at CardzTV this week..."To Die For!" Now that sounds pretty bad, doesn't it? lol Actually, please create a project for Christmas that uses die cuts from your manual or electronic cutting machine. Mary has a set of stamps for the winner of the challenge. (Runs from Nov 30th - Dec 6th).

I made a card:

Another angle:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Burgundy, Green and 4 Different Patterned Paper
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Christmas Joy, "Do Not Open 'Til Christmas!"
Sizzix Sizzlits Medium Die Cuts Party Set (Present)
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl 1 Small, Grass Green 1 Small, Classy Red 1 Small and Berry Red 1 Small
Green Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape
Small Hole Punch

I think the sentiment is just perfect for this card...don't you? I cut out the present 4 times then mixed up the bows between the four of them. The two on the outside are glued to the background, the second present (as you are looking at the card) is single mounted and the last one is double mounted. The sentiment is glued to the angled paper (with 2 small hole punches) and then is single mounted. The green dotted background is also single mounted on the card.  I like having dimension on my cards...can you tell?

I also made another project using die cuts (just no "written" sentiment...you'll understand when you see it). I made this for my granddaughter, Gianna. I hope she likes it.

A little closer:

Finished Project: 8 1/2" x 13 1/2" x 1 3/4"

Materials:
Karen Foster Design Countdown Calendar (comes with countdown sticker numbers)
Cricut Cartridge Paper Doll Dress Up Body, page 29 (Shift); Santa, page 72 (Base, Shift, Headwear Shift, Accessories 1 Shift and Accessories 3 Shift)
Various Scrap Cardstock
Small Circle Punch
Mounting Tape (for nose)
Cotton Ball
Candy

I attached the Santa to the back of the box set with removable tape (this way I can always take him off if I want to turn the boxes around and use it for something else). I can't wait until she sees this. I'm sure she'll love getting the candy prizes. What do you think?

Don't forget to enter the challenge...you could win one of Mary's stamps. There are so many to choose from, it may be hard to decide. Good luck to everyone.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you liked my card and countdown project. Please leave comment.
