Bless Your Heart Card

Happy Saturday...

I really haven't participated in many challenges lately (aside from the design team challenges for Digi Haven and CardzTV Stamps), but I felt inspired after seeing the sketch for the CAS(E) this Sketch! challenge.

Here is my card:

This is the inspiration sketch:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Red
Darice Embossing Essentials Folder Tree With Leaves
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Encouraging Thoughts, "Bless Your Heart!"
Small Heart Punch
Black Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

I had just bought the embossing folder a few days before I saw the challenge, so when I saw the sketch, I immediately thought "This is Perfect!" What do you think? I know the embossed tree is hard to see in the photo, but I hope you can appreciate how pretty it is. The hearts are single mounted, as well as the sentiment.

Hope you have a great day. I'm off to work on a house project, that will hopefully be finished this coming week. I am planning to post some pictures once it is done.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment.

CardzTV Stamps Color Challenge

The challenge at CardzTV this week is a color challenge: Use Red, Black and White Only! The challenge runs 2 weeks and Mary will be giving away a set of stamps to the winner. So, make sure you join in.

I made a Valentine's Day card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Black, Red and Patterned Paper
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Be My Valentine, "Happy Valentine's Day!"
Sizzix Primitive Hearts
Small Heart Punch
Queen and Co Pearls Pearl, 4 Small and Berry Red, 6 Large
Black Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

The red heart is single mounted on the black heart and the black heart is single mounted to the card.

Can you believe that it's at the end of January? I can't. Now I know that I was sick for the first two weeks of the year, but it just seems to be going by so fast! Valentine's Day will be here before you know it.

Don't forget to check out the other designer's projects..they are full of inspiration for you! Also, you might want to look at all of Mary's wonderful stamp sets (click here).

Thanks for stopping by.
Please leave a comment. I really enjoy reading your feedback.

I am also submitting this to My Craft Spot Challenge "Bling It Up".

Digi Haven Challenge "Winter/Snow"

Time for another challenge here at Digi Haven. This week's cool challenge is "Winter/Snow." We are kindly sponsored by Dilly Beans Stamps. The winner will receive 3 images from Dilly Beans. (That is just so generous...wish I could play along, so I could win...lol). Challenge will run until Jan 31st.

I actually made two (2) cards. Here is the first:

and the second card:

Finished Cards: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: (1st) White, Pine Green, Light Blue and Patterned
(2nd) White, Bright Pink and Patterned
Dilly Bean Stamps Digital Image #494 Penguin Framed
Spectrum Noir Markers
Fiskars Border Punch Snowflake Swirl (2nd card)
Mounting Tape (2nd card)

I just love penguins and I was tickled pink when I was able to use one of Dilly Beans Stamps penguin images. Isn't he just adorable? I thought so...which is why I got carried away making a second card....well, that AND Santa brought me ALL the Spectrum Noir Markers Sets. (Now I have the entire collection! Thank you Santa!) I had been sick (flu AND strep, what a combination, huh?), so I really couldn't wait to play once I was feeling better.

On the first card, I thought the background looked like snow falling. I also decided to have the card open is a different way and no embellishments. I really like the way this turned out...what do you think?

The second card I like because of the bolder colors...something different. The image is single mounted and again no extra embellishments aside form the border punch. Do you like this one?

I hope you decide to join the challenge and don't forget to check out the other designers at Digi Haven. They have some beautiful projects.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think. Which card is your favorite?

I would like to enter this into Cupcake Inspirations challenge.

GRAND RE-OPENING FOR DIGI HAVEN...Sparkles and Bling Challenge

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO EVERYONE. Hope you had a wonderful holiday season. I can't believe it's over and it's the start of a new year and new beginnings.

Speaking of new beginnings, that's just what we are doing here at Digi Haven. This is our GRAND RE-OPENING! We have lots of changes that we think you will love! First change...you can use ANY digi to play along with a challenge...it can be free or one that you have purchased (woo hoo, right?). Second, we have SPONSORS....wow!!!!..so there will be PRIZES!!!!! Can you stand it?

Our first challenge of the year is called "Sparkles and Bling". Our sponsor this week is Bugaboo Stamps. (Just love them, don't you?)

Here is my card:

And a little different angle:

I hope you can see the subtle difference (look at the large Martini glass).

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Patterned
Bugaboo Stamps Digital Image "Stella Peeker Another Drink"
Spectrum Noir Markers
Glossy Accents
Extra Fine Glitter
Queen and Co Pearls, Pearl 2 Large and 2 Medium

I added the Glossy Accents to Stella's glasses and to the two Martini glasses. While it was still wet, I added a small amount of fine glitter to the drinking glasses. After they were dry, I glittered Stella's hair. I thought the glittered background looked festive, like she was at some type of party...hey, maybe this was New Years Eve! (ha ha ha).

OK, so now to the good part, huh? Prizes.....Woo Hoo!
This first Grand Re-Opening Challenge is CrAzY!
Here we go:
From our sponsor this week, Bugaboo...10, (yes, ten) images.
