"Happy Haunting!" for Paper Players Challenge

Well, I'm back (at least for today)! Had a little inspiration, so while I was doing the wash, I thought I would make a card for the The Paper Players Challenge (which is a sketch).

Here is my card:

This is the sketch:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Purple, Green and Patterned Paper
The Paper Studio Cardstock Stickers Happy Halloween (Haunted House)
Recollections Glitter On A Roll
1 3/8" Circle Punch
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Oct 31st, "Happy Haunting!"
Clear Embossing Powder
Recollections Dimensional Stickers (Jack-O-Lanterns)
Mounting Tape

I used the green cardstock to frame the haunted house sticker and single mounted it over the scrolling "banners". The "Happy Haunting!" is embossed with clear embossing powder and triple mounted. I thought it needed something at the bottom, so I cut apart the Jack-O-Lanterns sticker and added it to the bottom of the card. What do you think? I like the way it turned out.

If you couldn't tell, it's been awhile since I have tackled a challenge (other than my Design Team commitments). It felt good getting back and creating. Now of course, is there 17 thousand things I should have been doing? Yep, but you know what, they aren't going anywhere. They will still be there later! (Unfortunately!)

Let me know what you think...leave a comment please.

Digi Haven Challenge Harvest

If you are looking for CardzTV Challenge #15 "Bling It Up", click here.

There has been a lot going on around here, so I haven't been around lately..."popped" my rib, rest, vacation (sort of), re-"popping" my rib, more rest, loss of mojo (in everything), Memorial Services, reorganizing the craft area (still), etc, etc, etc. I am trying to get back in the swing of things. Keep your fingers crossed...

The challenge this week at Digi Haven is Harvest. (Use a free digital image. Make sure you link back to the original artist...we always want to give credit, where credit is due!)

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Gold, Green and White (for printing image)
ScrapHappy Paper Crafter Digital Image
Spectrum Noir Markers
Glossy Accents
Cream Sheer Ribbon
Martha Stewart Tinsel Glitter Florentine Gold
Nicole Ultra Fine Premium Glitter Extra Fine Multi Diamond Dust
Recollections Adhesive Glitter Shapes (3 Sunflowers)

I thought the tinsel glitter gave the hay bale a little dimension and the Glossy Accents the same for the pumpkins and apples.

I guess the leaves will be turning soon; the temperature has already started to drop. I can't believe that it's already mid-September and Fall/ Halloween is around the corner, and then Thanksgiving and Christmas shortly after. Where has this year gone? (I must be getting old...).

Anyway, hope you decide to join the challenge, it's open for 2 weeks.

Thanks for dropping by. Please leave a comment.

I haven't been around lately..."popped" my rib (I know, weird huh?), resting, vacation (sort of), re-"popping" my rib, more resting, loss of mojo (in everything), Memorial Services, etc, etc, etc. and in the spare time, I've been trying to organize the craft space. Trying to get back into crafting more, so wish me luck.

Here at CardzTV, the challenge is "Bling It Up!" Use any theme or colors, just Bling It Up!

Here is my card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Cardstock: White, Green and Green Foil
Cricut Cartridge Christmas Cheer Holly, page 112 (Blackout Base)

Now this is a stretch for me...I sometimes like a little bling, but this is way more than I EVER use, (lol) but I like they way it turned out! What do you think?

Digi Haven Challenge Fins and/or Feathers

If you are looking for CardzTV Challenge #14, click here.

This is a really fun challenge at Digi Haven. Use a free digital image that has either Fins or Feathers. The challenge will run for 2 weeks now (to give everyone a chance to find a freebie). I found four different ones and made 3 different cards!!! (lol)

Here is my first card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Patterned Paper
Elizabeth O. Dulemba Coloring Pages, Shark
Bird Cards Digital Images, "Have a Fin-tastic Day"
Spectrum Noir Markers
Spellbinders Nestabilities Reverse Wonky Rectangles, 4th Largest
Queen and Co Rhinestones, Lavender 3 Small
Mounting Tape

I single mounted the sentiment and double mounted the shark. I think he's a cutie, don't you?

Second Card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Brown and K and Company Tag
Paper Smooches Digital Images, Owl, Branch and "You're a Hoot"
Spectrum Noir Markers
Darice Embossing Essentials Corner Scroll
Brown Ribbon
Mounting Tape

I single mounted the tag, the branch and the feet of the owl on the branch. The body of the owl is double mounted to make him even on the tag.

Third Card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White and Blue
The Alley Way Digital Images, Fish and "Just Keep Swimming"
Spectrum Noir Markers
Sizzix Wood Sign
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder D'Vine Swirls
Fiskars Textured Plates, Woodgrain and Stones
Tan and Brown Chalk
Mounting Tape

I embossed the blue card stock with D'Vine Swirls, then chalked it with tan chalk to highlight the swirls. The sign I embossed with the woodgrain textured plate after cutting it out with the Sizzix die. After coloring it with a Spectrum Noir Marker, I chalked it with brown to highlight the grain. I colored the fish, fussy cut it and embossed it with the stones textured plate. I single mounted the sign and double mounted the fish.

I hope you decide to play along. Don't forget to link the original artist.

Thanks for stopping by. Please leave me a comment. I would love to know what you think.

CardzTV DT Challenge #14 "Happy Holidays - Pick One!"

If you are looking for Digi Haven Challenge "Fins and/or Feathers", click here.

The CardzTV Challenge is "Happy Holidays - Pick One!" I just love Christmas. Don't you? Christmas is one of my most favorite holidays!

For this challenge, I made a card:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: Red, Green, Brown, Yellow and Patterned Paper
Cricut Cartridge Christmas Cheer Tree 1, page 88 (Shadow Base and Shift Base)
Cricut Cartridge Happy Haunting Frame 10, page 47 (Phrase Shift)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Holly Jolly "Rocking Around The Christmas Tree"
Cuttlebug Embossing Folder Herringbone
ActionWobble
Clear Glitter
Queen and Co Pearls, Grass Green and Classy Red (2 Large Red and Green, 2 Medium Red and Green and 2 Small Red and 1 Small Green)
Black Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

The tree is on an Action Wobble...I couldn't get a picture showing the wobbling.  :(  It looks really great going back and forth. The star is glittered to give a little spark and the tree is embossed to give some texture. I thought the sentiment was perfect for the wobbling tree...lol.

Don't forget to check out the other design team projects. And also, Mary is giving away a set of stamps (your choice) to the winner of the challenge. Isn't that so nice and fun? She has some really fantastic stamp sets!

Thanks for stopping by...please leave a comment. (I would love to hear your thoughts.)

CardzTV "Brew HaHa" Stamp Blog Hop

Welcome to CardzTV "Brew HaHa" Stamp Blog Hop. If you have come from Karen's blog, then you are in the right place. If you would like to start at the beginning, click here. Mary just released a new stamp set called "Brew HaHa". It has a number of really great sayings. Here is my card:

A couple more views:

Finished Card: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2"

Materials:
Cardstock: White, Tan, Green, Two Different Patterned Papers and Tan Vellum
Cricut Cartridge Once Upon a Princess Teacup, page 62 (Base and Layer Shift)
CardzTV with Mary Clear Stamps Brew HaHa, "You're Tea-riffic!"
Darice Embossing Essentials Simple Pattern (Wavy Lines/RickRack)
Crochet Thread
Black Pigment Ink
Mounting Tape

I wanted it to look like a "real" cup, so I cut 2 cup images and glued them together...only on the edges, leaving the top open. I stuffed a small amount of tissue paper into the cup, to give it dimension. The "heat waves" are made from vellum. The sentiment is made to look like the end of a teabag. I single mounted the tan rectangle.

Hope you like my project.

Mary will be giving out two stamps sets for Blog Candy. Now who wouldn't want to win that? The Blog Hop runs September 1st and September 2nd. The winner of the Blog Candy will be picked on September 3rd.

Your next stop is Jennifer's blog. Enjoy the rest of the Hop.
